Why walk with us
Farol Discover is a licensed Portuguese tour operator (RNAVT 10982 · RNAAT 148/2024), founded and run by people who live and walk these routes. We are not a booking platform or a reseller. When you contact us, you speak to the people planning your walk.
Our team is based in the Algarve and Alentejo. We know the trails in every season, the hidden shortcuts, and the places worth stopping at.
Guided walks run with a maximum of 12 people. Self-guided trips are designed for couples, friends, and small families — not coach tours.
We handle accommodation, transfers, luggage, maps, and a local emergency contact. You walk; we take care of the rest.

Where we walk
From the wild Atlantic cliffs of the Alentejo coast to the sunlit villages of the eastern Algarve — each region walks differently.

Portugal's south coast on foot: golden cliffs, hidden coves, whitewashed villages, and quiet trails behind the busy beaches.

The quietest stretch of Portugal's southwest coast: cork oaks and open beaches, white storks on the sea cliffs, and the northern Fishermen's Trail.
Guided & self-guided
Walk responsibly
Walking is already the low-impact way to travel. We try to make the rest of the trip count too.
We use local guides, local accommodation, and local food wherever possible. Money stays in the communities you walk through.
Smaller groups mean less pressure on the trail and more space for everyone — walkers and wildlife included.
Track notes, maps, and itineraries are digital. We send everything to your phone before you set off.
As official partners of the Rota Vicentina and Via Algarviana, we contribute to the maintenance and promotion of the trails we walk.

Walk with us
We are a small, licensed Portuguese team — not a platform. When you get in touch, you speak directly to the people who will plan your route, choose your accommodation, and be on the other end of the phone if you need us on the trail. Tell us where you want to walk, when, and with whom. We'll take it from there.
